I bought this book soon after it was released, but I knew better than to read it before the second book came out. (I'm not the only one who calls her the Queen of Cliffhangers, and I learned that the hard way.) The good news is that part 2 is now out, and the really good news is that it is almost three times longer than part 1! Reid - or the Prince, I should say, is a very complicated character. He was raised to be evil, and his torturous childhood did cripple him to some extent, but when you listen to his thoughts and watch his actions, especially with the lovely, innocent Fawn...well, with her, he's different. VERY different. He wants her, but he goes out of his way to keep her safe, not only from the lecherous jerks who come to his sexcapades, but safe from him, too. And when he discovers that her long-time fiance is cheating on her? Wow, the gloves are off. The creep had first insisted that Fawn remain a virgin until they were both through school and can marry. Then he decides he can't wait, and pressures her to have sex with him - and not in a romantic way. And poor Fawn catches him in the act with a skank, and her whole world crumbles. But the Prince is there for her, holding her to his chest as she soaks it with her tears, and even offering to off the jerk for her. He even admits he's jealous! Oh, this next episode is going to require hankies for us, the readers, I just know it will. As usual with this author, this book was amazing and is a must read! I can't wait for part 2! The book covers every emotion you could want when reading a story and I hope he truly becomes her Prince in part 2!
This story has an amazing storyline that completely draws you into. You cannot help falling in love with the characters and feeling all of their emotions as if they were you. This story sucks you in and I couldn't put it down until the end. I cannot wait for the next book!
This was a good stat to the series. I love how Marian Tee mixes humor in with pure, erotically charged passion. Her alpha males are charming asses and her heroines are naively charming women with savior complexes we can't help but root for. O mean who doesn't want a reformed bad boy whose still bad when you need him to be.
I'm a fan of Marian Tee's books, but I have to admit that Prince of Darkness brought me to tears in record time. There's so much more to the story than that, though. Reid is very complicated and so are his feelings for his new employee, Fawn. The first installment of their story is great; I can only guess how the second half will be. I know it'll be a hard read, but all of Ms. Tee's books hurt so good!
I have be waiting for Reid story for a long time, met him in Derek and Janike book. He was very interesting and now I have the first book of his story about Fawn the girl that so sweet and funny but is engaged that he finds interesting. Reid is not not what you think he is and he is so good to Fawn but respect her engagement, until something happens? I can't wait for the next book, love Marian's books. Would recommend this book to all romances readers.
I don't what it is but every time I read a Marian tee book I always feel like I'm on the edge of my seat cuz I never know what to expect and she makes everything so emotionally gripping i did enjoy this book I'm looking forward to part two a lot of the heroines she writes about are usually virgins and the heros are man whores which I don't like too much I wish the heroines were out there getting some to and not just sitting there fantasizing about the hero wishing they can finally b noticed a lot of her books are like I hate them and love them at the same time they become addicting and you just emotionally drained after haha but all said and done I just can't stop myself I love her books
This was a pretty good book. Reid is the Dark Prince. He's known for his secrets and wild sex parties. Fawn is a new hire. She's sweet and clueless and attracts Reid's attention. Fawn doesn't fall for his charm but he takes it as a challenge. When Fawn catches her finance having sex with someone else Reid makes his move. This was a pretty good read. This was my first time reading this author. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading book two in this series.
